Transfer of ownership and support continuation

The Airviro System has up to now been owned in equal shares between the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) and Apertum IT AB. SMHI have now decided to transfer it's half of the ownership to the Estonian Environmental Research Centre (EERC, Eesti Keskkonnauuringute Keskus OU).

EERC is a state owned research center that since 2005 is a long standing and important user of Airviro. EERC will contribute programming resources in order to safeguard the future development of the Airviro system in a long term perspective.

The other co-owner of the system, Apertum AB, remains the same. Apertum and its new partner, EERC, commit to continue to provide the support of the Airviro System under the same conditions as the contracts now in force. According to the Agreement between SMHI and Apertum/EERC the latter will be formally responsible for the execution of for the service and support agreements from January 1st, 2018. SMHI will, however, continue to develop and support the dispersion models of Airviro after this date.

Our goal is to finalize the full transfer during the spring of 2018. It is important to underline that it is of paramount importance for SMHI and Apertum/EERC that this will be a smooth transition for our customers and that the service provided to you will remain the same onwards or even better.
